Brand New Report Reveals Top Aides For Cuomo Edited Report To Hide Nursing Home Deaths Ahead Of Book Release

Top aides who work for Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo were reportedly pressured by the state health department to change the total number of nursing home residents who died from COVID-19 from official reports.

This new report comes as the governor is not only facing serious flack for what he did in the cover up of nursing home deaths, but as three women have accused him of sexual misconduct, one of which has actual photographic evidence of the situation unfolding in real time.

If this report is accurate, and there’s no reason to think it’s not, this means that the scheme to cover up the death toll from this crisis started way earlier than originally thought. In fact, it happened right as Cuomo began writing a book bragging about how good of a job he did at handling the pandemic.

As The New York Times reported:

Top aides to Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo were alarmed: A report written by state health officials had just landed, and it included a count of how many nursing home residents in New York had died in the pandemic.

The number — more than 9,000 by that point in June — was not public, and the governor’s most senior aides wanted to keep it that way. They rewrote the report to take it out, according to interviews and documents reviewed by The New York Times.

The extraordinary intervention, which came just as Mr. Cuomo was starting to write a book on his pandemic achievements, was the earliest act yet known in what critics have called a monthslong effort by the governor and his aides to obscure the full scope of nursing home deaths.

This whole cover-up was done for two reasons. Cuomo didn’t want to be investigated by the Justice Department under former President Donald Trump because if he was, there’s no doubt his political career would be destroyed. Secondly, because he wanted to write this ridiculous book and toot his own horn to make a pretty penny from the sales.

You don’t get more ridiculous and corrupt than Andrew Cuomo. What’s worse is he’s refusing to step down from his post. Since he won’t resign, perhaps it’s time for the state lawmakers to consider impeaching him and giving him the boot?

Either way, the things this man has done while in office are disgusting. He’s unfit for duty and needs to be booted from his position.
