While the establishment within the Republican Party seems to loathe the very ground that former President Donald Trump walks on, the vast majority of individuals in the GOP actually adore him.
So much so, in fact, that they consider him to be the best president ever, even over former President Ronald Reagan, who has long been the standard for what a good commander-in-chief should be.
According to a new poll, Republicans have chosen Trump as the best of the best, over Reagan, by 2-to-1.

The poll was conducted during Trump’s second Senate impeachment trial, during which seven Republicans voted to convict him, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who did not vote to impeach, blamed Trump for the Capitol riots.
It is further evidence that Trump remains the leader of the Republican Party in the eyes of Republicans. Another survey this week found that 75% want Trump to have a “prominent role” in the GOP.
The YouGov survey also showed that while Trump remains popular in Republican ranks, he is also despised by Democrats. At the same time, he is embraced by Republicans as the greatest, the survey also showed that he is considered one of the nation’s worst, a statistic driven by Democrats.
When it comes to who is the best president overall to Americans in general and not just one specific party, Trump is in third place. That’s still not too shabby. Of course, Obama is in first place. Lincoln came in second. FDR was fourth. Reagan was fifth.
At the end of the day, Trump did a fantastic job as our president. He fought back against the propaganda merchants in the mainstream media. He brokered historic Middle East peace deals. He fought for religious liberty and helped repair our economy.
It’s a crying shame he wasn’t given another four years to see what he could accomplish with his agenda.
