Source Tells CNN If All-Star Game Wasn’t Moved, Media Would’ve Harassed Players

A supposed “informed source” recently spoke with fake news champion CNN stating that if Major League Baseball hadn’t decided to move the All-Star Game from Atlanta, Georgia to Denver, Colorado, the media would have hounded players about their thoughts on boycotting the state after the propaganda machines of the mainstream media have worked hard to create a false narrative about the state’s new voting law.

In other words, part of the reason the decision was made to move the game was because the league didn’t want the media to harass the players during baseball season.

In a Twitter thread, CNN anchor Jake Tapper relayed what the anonymous source told CNN regarding the political considerations behind the MLB’s decision. This source told CNN there would have been consequences if they hadn’t pulled the All-Star Game, so they acted proactively. Among those consequences were the fact that a biased media would have repeatedly asked professional baseball players about their own stance on the law and urged them to boycott the state, though the source didn’t say that explicitly.

“MLB officials made the decision because if they didn’t then the decision would be left to individual players, individual All-Stars, some of whom no doubt would have individually boycotted the game themselves,” Tapper posted in a tweet. “In short: There was no way to avoid this becoming political.”

Tapper followed up that tweet with one about how the media would have treated All-Star players for the next several months.

“If MLB hadn’t acted, individual players would certainly have been asked from now until July whether they were boycotting or not. It would have — arguably — become a bigger issue,” Tapper went on to write.

So rather than fearing the backlash of fans in Atlanta, the folks over at the MLB were scared out of their pants by angry online activists. Welcome to the world we now live in, folks. It’s a heck of a wimpy place.

The source apparently went on to explain to CNN that this decision was made to protect players.

This is just ridiculous. Who knows if this source is even telling the truth? I mean, the hounding of players for their political opinions sounds about right, but still, this could all be made up. It’s CNN after all.

Regardless, the MLB should have never caved in to the left’s demands and moved the game.
